We are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to drive safety, compliance, and excellence across Sauter UK. This role requires frequent travel our various offices and client sites predominantly in London and the Southeast. Travel to other parts of the UK may include overnight stays.
The Role
As the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor you will oversee the monitoring and execution of all SHEQ processes to ensure continued compliance. Your role will demand expertise in advising on Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, contributing to our commitment to excellence and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor critical SHEQ processes and support operational teams to take action ensuring continued compliance.
- Offer expert advice in relation to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation across all levels within the organisation.
- Conduct thorough Site Inspections / Audits to programmes and targets.
- Resolve SHEQ issues through effective, corrective, and preventative measures.
- Support Incident and Accident Investigations as required, promoting a culture of safety and learning.
- Facilitate training sessions as required.
- Deliver comprehensive Report Writing and Reporting to all levels of the organisation.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and Managers to support the development and review of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
- Attending meetings with internal and external clients as required.
- Provide support for tender and PQQ submissions as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role ideally within the construction industry.
- NEBOSH General and Construction Certificate or equivalent or actively pursuing certification.
- IOSH Membership at TechIOSH level or working towards.
- Valid CSCS card
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating, implementing, and overseeing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems within construction and building services settings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Strong organisation skills and can efficiently manage workload and responsibilities.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- A full UK Driving licence
It would be great if you have…
- NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
- Proficient Auditing Skills.
