As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Sprinkler Design Manager to join our team and take full ownership of our design function and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of our growth story.
This isn’t just about producing compliant designs. It’s about leading a team, embedding best practice, and ensuring every sprinkler system we deliver is robust, cost-effective, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality.
With offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Leeds, and Newcastle, you’ll have the flexibility to base yourself from the location that suits you best. Hybrid working is also an option once you’ve completed your initial onboarding period.
What you’ll do
As Sprinkler Design Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of our business, ensuring technical excellence while guiding our design team to success:
- Own all sprinkler design activity, from early concept through to project handover.
- Ensure every design meets LPCB, BS EN 12845, BS 9251, ISO 9001 & LPS 1048 standards.
- Produce accurate, efficient designs that strengthen tenders and safeguard margins.
- Review and sign off hydraulic calculations, AutoCAD, and Revit models, guarantee integration with wider building services.
- Mentor, develop, and hold the design team accountable, embedding consistency and continuous improvement.
- Implement templates, QA processes, and systems that make our design division future-proof.
- Support colleagues in Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh, Leeds, and Newcastle with design expertise.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes sprinkler design. You’ll need:
- 5+ years proven experience designing sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Full LPCB qualifications, Basic, Intermediate, and Full Hydraulic Calculation (FHC).
- Strong technical knowledge of BS EN 12845 and BS 9251 (NFPA/FM exposure a bonus).
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calc software (e.g., Canute FHC).
- Leadership skills with the confidence to manage a team, embed systems, and drive accountability.
- A commercial mindset, balancing compliance, cost, and constructability.
