At Emtec Core & Protect, our work plays a vital role in protecting people and buildings. We specialise in Passive Fire Protection, delivering compliant, high-quality installations across Scotland and we’re now looking for an experienced Fire Door Contracts Manager to join our team.
This is a key role within the business, offering responsibility across live contracts, established client relationships and experienced site teams. It’s an opportunity for someone who takes pride in high standards, values compliance, and enjoys leading delivery from the front.
The Role
As Fire Door Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of multiple Fire Door and Passive Fire Protection contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
Day-to-day operational management of site-based operatives across multiple live projects.
Planning labour, plant and materials, including preparation of cost estimates for approval.
Producing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and all required safety documentation.
Identifying variations and advising on cost and programme implications.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, operatives and senior management.
Managing issues and disputes in a professional, solutions-focused manner.
Setting and monitoring cost and programme targets, with regular reporting to the Director.
Supporting client relationships and ensuring continuity of service across contracts.
Ensuring all works are delivered in line with accreditations, standards and compliance requirements.
What You’ll Bring
We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience managing Fire Door and/or Passive Fire Protection contracts, who bring a structured, dependable and detail-driven approach.
You’ll ideally have:
Proven experience managing Fire Door and/or Passive Fire Protection works.
FIRAS and/or BM TRADA experience (highly desirable).
Strong organisational, leadership and people-management skills.
Solid commercial awareness and programme control capability.
The ability to manage multiple sites and teams simultaneously.
Confident written and verbal communication skills and good IT proficiency.
A proactive, positive and solutions-focused mindset.
A full UK driving licence.
